Vikings at Hobbit Hill, Clitheroe

I was excited about this wedding from the moment Jodi got in touch - Hobbit Hill in Clitheroe, a venue i’d wanted to tick off the bucket list for some time whilst being paired with a full on, nothing spared, viking theme. I know that Jodi was wary she might not be able to pull it off but the day came together perfectly and really was unforgettable.

The immediate wedding party were dressed in traditional clothing with furs, hooded capes and all the accessories you could think of whilst they had a team of reenactment vikings with shields and swords. Most importantly, Jodi & Josh managed to keep their guests entertained with fire dancing and breathing acts, archery, birds of prey and of course, staged battles between the vikings that were huge amounts of fun! At one point they had also all agreed that Jodi would be accosted by the vikings whilst Josh had to lead his team into battle to save his new wife - Brilliant to photograph and watch.

Hobbit Hill in itself is an amazing venue that can cover you in the event of any weather with great outdoor spaces for the ceremony held in the woods or inside where it’s got wide open spaces with exposed beams above making it a beautiful space to photograph in. Can’t wait to work here again soon.
