Wedding FAQs
Below you will find all the commonly asked questions that have come through to me over the years. Don’t worry, if you don’t see what you’re looking for, get in touch and I’ll help out.

What is the booking process?
I always recommend we meet for a brew or have a call just so we can though your wedding plans whilst making sure my photography is the right fit for your wedding. If you’re happy to go ahead I can send all relevant information over from there.
How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer?
Most couples book their wedding photographer around 9 to 18 months in advance, especially if your date falls in the Summer months as these often book up quickly. If your wedding is a week day or away from peak season there may still be availability - It’s best to check early.
Do you work alone?
I currently do work alone, yes. But that’s not to say this is set in stone, if you’re feeling a second photographer is needed to capture all the amazing things happening at your wedding, contact me. I know some damn good photographers who would be up for tagging along!
When will we receive our wedding photographs?
Editing weddings takes a lot of time, often I’ve thousands of pictures to go through, selecting only the best ones. I ask my clients to bare with me for four to six weeks before everything is ready. Where possible, I’m always aiming to get everything completed faster, without compromising on quality. A few days after your wedding I’ll provide some teasers so you can relive the best moments right away.
Do you also provide video services?
Although I can do video, I don’t offer it at weddings. This is simply because I can’t give both photo and video 100% of my attention. When you book me as your photographer, I want to give that my full focus and make sure you guys have some great pictures.
Do you travel for weddings outside of Lancashire?
Yes, as far as is needed. I’ve travelled up and down the UK for weddings and always feel that little more honoured when a couple ask me to travel for them. I do charge a nominal fee for weddings over 50 miles. If you’re planning an abroad wedding, get in contact, I’d love to photograph your big day in the sun, or even snow.
Do you need feeding on the day?
Photographing a wedding is a long day with not many breaks involved, when you guys sit down to eat, I normally do the same. If you’re able to organise any kind of food that would always be appreciated or equally providing I have access to somewhere locally to eat. It’ll keep me energised into the evening party!
Do we receive the unedited images?
The way I prefer to explain this to clients is that when fine dining at a restaurant you wouldn’t ask the chefs for the cut offs right? Photography works in the same way. I curate your edits to ensure the whole set looks great, rather than having thousands of unfinished pictures. So unfortunately no, I don’t offer the unedited images.
Do you offer engagement or pre-wedding photoshoots?
Yes absolutely, in fact I recommend them. They’re relaxed sessions, typically somewhere local that you guys love and are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. Take a look at the bottom of my wedding packages page for more information.
Can I order prints and albums?
Absolutely! All your wedding photographs are provided at full quality with no watermarks that mean you’re welcome to print freely. If you would prefer more premium prints or artworks, this is all integrated to your wedding gallery and can be purchased through there.
Do you require a deposit?
I ask for a £200 deposit for any wedding package that completely secures your wedding date so nobody else can swoop in. You’ll be all ready to go after that.
How do we book you?
Head over to my contact page to fill out the form. I’ll then check my availability for your wedding date and get a call booked with you guys. A signed contract and deposit formally secures your date.
