Nick & Nicola’s wedding was actually my first ever at Holmes Mill and I was understandably excited! Between the three of us we’d mapped out various photographs they wanted, along with a few ideas that I was eager to try out. As with every wedding you’re thrown the odd curve ball, on this occasion, rain. Now this is a common one that i’m always good at adjusting for but the shining positive at Holmes Mill is that many of the best features are indoors so that’s how we worked for most of the formal parts, including group shots in the bistro area.

Holmes Mill is a superb venue, nestled away in the picturesque town of Clitheroe that has an industrial theme running throughout. Various woods and metals, awesome lighting and bare, time worn plaster really add to this look making it a pleasure to photograph in. Plenty of ideas for couples photographs and lots of natural light really bump it up toward one of my favourite venues.
