Engagement Photoshoot In Lancashire Woodland

I can’t stress enough how helpful these couples shoot are if you’ve got some nerves about having a photographer at your wedding. Not only do they give us the opportunity to meet without the weight of a wedding over us but let’s us talk through how you guys would love your couples photos on the day. Through the years I’ve also seen many couples use these photographs for wedding invitations, their wedding websites and even Christmas cards!

Hannah & Tom were great sports, we clicked right away and knew a nice, relaxed walk through our chosen spot with a few stop offs for photos would work great. I never approach these shoots with pressure, hundred’s of ‘Instagram’ poses or a set idea of how things will play out. It’s all about reading the room and letting these two lead the dance with posing so they’re legitimately comfortable. Don’t get me wrong, if your stance is a little wonky or fringe out of place, I’ll jump in and help out!

Timing Sunset

One of the things we did know prior to arriving on the day is we wanted decent weather and the opportunity for a bit of colour or light from sunset nearing the end of the shoot. An evening meet up it was. Although we may not of got a show stopping, explosion style sunset but we did get this beautiful, soft light that trickled through the above canopy of trees, perfect.

Why Woodland Engagement Shoots Work So Well in Lancashire

Lancashire woodland engagement shoots are ideal for couples who want their photos to feel relaxed, natural, and a little bit adventurous without being over the top. Woodland locations offer loads of variety in a short space of time. Open paths, pockets of soft light through the trees, textured backdrops and generally quieter than the more popular spaces.
