Bashall Barn, The Venue
Steph & Jonny originally got in touch with me looking for a focus on candid shots, with a few key points or group photos thrown in. They planned some fun details and other suppliers for the day from their very own wedding news paper to having a magician work the crowd - Worth noting that extras like this on a wedding day are always positive for your final photographs, having guests react to all this is brill.
Bashall Barn offers a stunning and rustic backdrop for any wedding, making it a favourite choice for many couples. As a wedding photographer, it’s brilliant for its natural light streaming into the barn during both the ceremony and reception. Whilst the barn itself is situated in a spectacular, countryside space making it ideal for the couples shoot as you’ll seem in some of the photographs below.
Countryside Wedding in Clitheroe
I feel pretty blessed to have unknowingly grown up in an area so rich in incredible wedding venues as Lancashire. For a wedding photographer, it’s a huge positive and something I never take for granted. Having such a variety of locations on my doorstep means every wedding feels different, while still offering that familiar North-West charm I love to work with.
Across most of the North-West, the majority of wedding venues are set out in the countryside, with modernised manor houses and barns being especially popular. It suits my style perfectly — warm, natural hues, open outdoor spaces, and plenty of room for relaxed, candid moments. And for better or worse, those moody skies that roll in from time to time only add to the atmosphere, giving each wedding its own unique character.
